PRESIDENT AND CEO

Charlie Koones is a highly experienced media innovator who, fornearly two decades, has been growing and leading world class organizations. As CEO and together with Todd, Charlie is responsible for setting Moon Tide's strategic direction, determining new ways to delight our audiences, and ensuring we have the awesome people who can make our vision a reality.

Before becoming a partner at Moon Tide, Charlie was the President and Publisher of Variety and the President of the Reed Business Entertainment Group. In addition to running the business of the world's leader in entertainment industry information, Charlie acquired and grew companies in marketing research, data products and publishing. Charlie received his bachelor of arts from the University of Richmond. He currently sits on the Boards of Directors of American Media, Inc. and The Wrap News, Inc.

Charlie lives in Los Angeles with his wife, two sons and two small dogs. He's a life long Washington Redskins fan and his golf game is just good enough to beat his business partner.
